Hey there <3

The first "book" I ever wrote was in middle school and from the perspective of a girl trapped in the twin towers during 9/11. So maybe I should've known my niche would eventually lead to this: writing stories that make you FEEL.

Although amazing in their own right (and all love to those creators), I would never want to write a book that exists solely for entertainment. I want my stories to leave readers WITH something: a reason to keep going, a new perspective, or even just a reminder that they are NOT alone in the battles they face every day. 

If majoring in criminal justice has taught me anything, it's that SO many people have similar stories, and when we band together and share in the grief, loss, and love, we can create something truly beautiful.

This book deals with heavy trauma, but it also refuses to believe in the idea that pain is the end of the story. There is always a Greater Love working behind the scenes. There is always an Author of your story who cares. Genuinely.

 Gracie Lewis can count on two things in her life: herself (obviously), and the fact that Hillview High’s golden boy, Cole Brown, is the absolute worst.

Or… at least he WAS.

After a car accident leaves him with zero memory and a complete personality change, suddenly Gracie has a choice to make: keep treating him like the villain he’s always been, or risk believing that maybe there’s hope for him yet.

But forgiving the unforgivable? That’s a lot harder than it sounds. Especially when trusting him could be the biggest mistake she’s ever made. 

Growing up, I remember reading about characters who experienced trauma, abuse, sexual assault, or illness portrayed as one personality type: the ones who waited around for the "heroes" to save them.

But in real life? Survivors are some of the strongest people out there. They're their OWN heroes. 

And they're mine too. 

Gracie is unlike any character I've ever written before. She's outspoken, stubborn, and unafraid to fight for the people she loves. But the second she genuinely feels cared for; she pushes it away. Love is unfamiliar to her because all she's ever known is being used, abandoned, or left behind.

With Forget Me Not, I wanted to create characters who felt deeply human. None of them are perfect. Cole's a hothead, Gracie's selfish... but that never stops them from trying to become better versions of themselves. Even if it takes a while.

To me, the most compelling stories are the honest ones. And the human experience is the most honest story I could ever hope to tell.

I couldn't be more grateful than to go on this journey with you all. It's been my dream to publish a book since... well, forever. Thank you for loving these characters as much as I do <3
